AutoCAD Product Designer

Job Description:

Our client, a retail space solutions and manufacturing company in the Dallas / Fort Worth area is in search of an AutoCAD Product Designer for full-time employment.

The AutoCAD Product Designer will join a family team environment and be responsible for exceeding client expectations with conceptual designs. Responsible for being able to extract information needed to define, develop, and bring those concepts and designs to life.

Responsibilities:
Product Design: Use AutoCAD software to design and develop new products, ensuring they meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
Technical Drawings: Create detailed technical drawings, including dimensions, materials, and assembly instructions.
Prototyping: Collaborate with the manufacturing team to produce prototypes and test product viability.
Product Refinement: Make necessary adjustments to designs based on feedback and testing results.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of product designs and specifications.
Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including engineers, manufacturers, and sales representatives.
Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in design software and manufacturing techniques

Requirements:

Required Skills
 • 2+ years AutoCAD and Design experience
 • Prior cabinet, woodworking, retail store display experience within manufacturing, engineering, design or installation.
 • Must have a passion for creating innovative and functional products and bringing those designs to life.
 • Time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills are required.
 • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with peer teams and vendors.
 • Office onsite requirement in the northern Dallas/Fort Worth Texas area..
 • College Degree in Design/Drafting is highly preferred.
