Our client, a construction management and general contracting firm, is currently in need of an Underground / Yard Piping Superintendent for full-time employment in Phoenix, AZ.

As an Underground Superintendent will prioritize and control the work schedule, manage crews, as well as collaborate and liaise between project teams, field engineers, estimators, clients and subcontractors. Excellent supervision, communication and documentation skills are essential for success in this position.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of recent underground supervision experience.
  • water/wastewater plant experience, alternatively underground utility experience.
  • Must have plant level experience
  • Successfully supervised a construction workforce
• Journeyman certificate or undergraduate/engineering degree in a related discipline. NCSO designation required (IND); enrollment in the Gold Seal program (CDN) preferred.
• Must understand project scope and ability to apply complex engineering principles and embed solutions into plans and schedules.
• Must have scheduling software experience and be able to build effective schedules for crew related to work.
• Must understand productivity rates or own forces work (OFW), Labor Cost Reports (LCRs), and ability to interpret cost reports.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and experience with conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills.
